Many students have difficulties with the research methods part of their Psychology degree. The aim of this survey is to identify the kinds of difficulties students have and the kinds of solutions students suggest. This might help to tailor teaching strategies in the future more effectively to those at different levels of ability.


The survey is entirely voluntary, anonymous, and confidential. All data will be kept safe and secure in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. There are no immediate benefits to you of filling the survey, apart from knowing that you might be doing something positive for students in the future.


This survey has been reviewed by the Department of Psychology at City University (London) and the Senate Ethics Committee.
